Starting out playing percussion with DJ’s, Newcastle chic Shalyn Gray, then decided to jump on the turntables and give mixing a go.. After wow-ing local crowds at clubs in Newcastle, she took a plunge & entered in DJ comps for New Mardi Gras & popular girls night MOIST. Success in these comps saw Shalyn’ crowd wow-ing sets expand from the Newcastle scene, to the big bad city streets of Sydney! Having played at Trademark, Supper Club, Mars Lounge, Oxford Art Factory & The Burdekin and with residencies at The Gateway Hotel Newcastle, Sly Fox Hotel, Arq Sydney, The Bank Hotel, Flinders Hotel, Polo Lounge and now The Imperial, SHALYN is fast becoming one of Sydney’s most sort after DJ’s!
