GREG DOWNEY – Spinnin/Reset/Discover Records : Ireland

This deck wizard’s career is only headed in one direction.. and that is UP! Hailing from the Ireland, GREG DOWNEY started his fast paced career in breaking through in the UK scene , spinning to packed crowds at prestigious events such as Godskitchen, Slinky, Passion and Gatecrasher to name just a few aswell as touring across the world in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Shanghai, Poland and Indonesia.
Since 2007, Greg has attracted support and attention from the likes of John Digweed, Eric Prydz, Paul van Dyk, Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Above & Beyond and Armin Van Buuren with Greg’s remix of John Digweed’s ‘Heaven Scent’ claimed the number 1 spot on Beatport, Trackitdown and Audiojelly for over a month! Greg also enjoyed huge success with his own track, ‘Vivid Intent’, which Armin Van Buuren picked as his ‘tune of the week’ on A State Of Trance with the release of his album on Discover.
2009 saw the beginning of Global Code, Greg’s radio show and podcast where he presents his take on Trance via the industry-leading station DI.FM with thousands of loyal listeners and subscribers who tune into his sound. LaGreg’s defining moment of 2009 was entering the DJ Mag Top 100 at number 82, an amazing achievement for a young talent.
2010 has been Greg’s most prolific year to date as a producer. Chosen by world number 9 Gareth Emery as his best of British, his track Global Code on Vandit has been one of the biggest tracks this year featuring in every Paul van Dyk set for the last 10 months and was number 1 in Trackitdown. His next single for Dutch heavy weights Spinnin was number 1 on Trackitdown and number 2 on Beatport.
